An amazingly useful and beneficial card that takes you to all the major attractions and most public transportations. During the four day visit as a first-time tourist, it saved me €50 at least and the troubles to buy tickets each time.

Using the Lyon City Card was so convenient - we used it for all public transport and 3 museums so it felt like a great saving!

Well worth the money as visited 3 museums, got open top bus and used public transport over the 48 hours

Deffo worth the Lyon card as includes all transport but don't forget to ask for your little tickets for onwards travel when on the Rhoneexpress. Do the bus tour ...the tourist office can give you the times in Place Bellecoure. Go up the funicular. Try and get a tour booked we did as left it too late but would have loved it. Lots to see and do.

One day in Lyon is certainly not enough as all museums open at 10 and close around 18. I visited 3 museums and used the public transport with the card. This city pass is the BEST value/price I ever used in Europe! The cost already pays off after 2 museum tickets! Certainly recommended and I hope I can go back soon.

Very very good card! One remark - not enough information about free Rhonexpress. We had to buy extra tickets to this train and wasted ~50eur (2 person).

This card was very convenient and allowed me to get around Lyon easily and to see a lot of sites without worrying about racking up costs. However, I wish that we could pick up the card at other locations, for example the Lyon airport, because I had to pay for individual transport from there.

I had three days in Lyon and used the card extensively for public transport, museums, galleries: it worked perfectly and saved me a lot. Excellent value.

I bought a 4 day Lyon city card online prior to visiting Lyon. It probably paid for itself twice by the number of musuems visited and varieties of transportation used. Many thanks to Hakim ( hope my spelling is correct) who assisted me when I received my physical pass at the Bellecour location. A tremendous value in my opinion.

We used the 48 hours card, and it made using the public transport system very easy. We made the most out of the stay, e.g. visited several museums. Make sure to consider almost all museums are closed on Mondays when planning your stay. Our highlight was the free Rewind walking tour in the Old Town.

Easy to acquire. I purchased in advanced and mailed to US so it was ready. Went into several museums and the funiculars over 24 hr period. It’s a great value.

The Lyon City Card was the perfect way to see the city. We bought one, including the Rhône Xpress tram ticket, online before we travelled and it proved really useful as well as saving us money. As it was winter, we had the City Bus Tour included, which was really useful.
We were given two 48-hour transport tickets each on our way into the city from the airport which gave us free access to all forms of public transport in the city for our four-day stay. We used this on the excellent transport system, including the funicular, extensively during our stay.
The three museums we visited were free to us as well, with our Lyon City Card.
The only slight problem we had was with the Rhône Xpress ticket. For some reason the QR code on my phone wouldn’t scan and on both the inward and outward journey which took a while to sort out. I bought the tram ticket together with the City Card as a package and was sent a separate ticket for both by email. I’m not sure what the problem was but perhaps this is something that needs looking at. The staff on the tram were great about this and on both occasions they sorted it out somehow.
On balance the the City Card was a really good buy and well worth it. Perhaps a slightly better explanation of how it works might make things even better. I assumed that the QR code on our e-tickets would be used for public transport but we were issued with physical tickets on the Rhône Press, which I wasn’t expecting. A minor point really for something that I can highly recommend.

The Lyon city card was so easy to use and made exploring Lyon simple! It was great having easy access to the metro, trams, and bus as well as museums!

I have not been impressed by most visitor cards because they are used to push the activities that no one wants to do. I am a skeptic. This is NOT the case with the Lyon City Card. It is a good deal. It helps you learn about your options and it provides ample opportunities to enjoy the city - and the transportation benefits are excellent! In addition, the staff was professional and helpful. Totally recommend it.

I've never used a city card before but was very glad I did here. Access to lots of museums and attractions but the travel card for TCL was key! You get a little ticket that you just validate on the buses/metro/tram and it's so easy to use. Savings were incredible.

We applied for card online and it was good that could pay via Paypal.A leaflet & map indicating places to visit included in the card would be useful provided at the airport or on Rhone Express.Could be a bit clearer as to when and where you get given your transport tickets for tram and metro.

The Lyon card made the use of the funiculars very easy and simplied entry into the museums.

I bought two 2-day Lyon city cards online for me and my boyfriend, which we collected in place Bellecour when we arrived in Lyon. We came prepared because we could find many information on the website and even book some ticket in advanced.
The city card is very easy to buy, collect and use. Public transportation being included made us save lot of time and get the most out of our weekend in Lyon. Some museums even had a Lyon city card queue, which meant we didn’t have to wait for long to get the tickets, or accepted the card in place of the ticket.

The Lyon City Card is a terrific scheme, offering convenience, especially for the exceptional public transport system, and great value for savings on entry to museums and attractions. I unhesitatingly recommend it to all visitors.

If you are planning to utilize public transportation and visit the museums in Lyon, the Only Lyon Card is a must. We find it to be so useful with both the transportation and the museums throughout our week in Lyon. It is an investment that is very worth it. Additionally, it is easy to order and they ship to you, which makes it awesome so you have the card the minute you arrive in Lyon.

Excellent beyond means . I am a tourist traveling through Lyon. I needed one card that will take me to all the museums and covers all the transportations - bus, metro and Tram. I ordered my 96 hour card online after doing extensive research and the headed to Bellecour station at tourism office to pick my card . It was a breeze . You can either buy one one hour ticket or use your phone for  / google pay to reach tourism office station . Once you collect your card they will provide you with the small pamphlet that shows where LCC will work for the duration you purchased . It worked flawless for 96 hours in all the museums and all the transportations within the city . I highly recommend this care to any tourist visiting Lyon since you can get this card for 24 , 48, 72 or 96 hour duration.

Here are my two recommendations to city of Lyon:

Make the card electronic as soon as it is purchased . People should be able to use QR code in iPhone/ Android phone before they even collect the physical plastic card

Secondly why not make it 5 day card from current 96hour ? I am here in Lyon for 8 nights and now I am out of LCC since my 96 hours are up. I would have love to had 5 or 6 day card and would have paid for it accordingly . Just try it and who knows . I needed it. I am sure other people too may ask for it .

Excellent value for moneys, it saves a lot of time and hassle, just one card and one can pay for public transport, museums, etc. Even the city tour bus!!!

The only thing I would add is the possibility of downloading the card on one’s mobile device, this will save time for those who are using it again on another visit and/or those who are not staying close to a tourist office.

I was happy to have bought the Lyon City Card because we took full advantage of it, and I saved some money. I was particularly happy about the free guided tour, and I would have loved to experience the boat tour (but there wasn't enough time).

The City Card made everything so simple, public transport, entry to various museums and sites and the included river cruise and tours. Well worth the investment.

This is an excellent value for money card to be used in lyon. My family enjoyed using it and it’s just sad that we cannot cover as many places as we want during the trip!

All the tourist visitor centre also provide excellent advice and support for using the card, so that’s a big plus .

We visited during the festival of lights and the card is also valid for the transportation.

If you want to spend a day or two in Lyon this is a must have card !

Good value for money

The idea of the city card is good, especially the inclusion of public transport. However, a lot of the information on the map we were given were outdated. Offers did not exist anymore and opening times were wrong, resulting in us doing trips to places and stand in front of closed doors. Also, for those who don't speak French (or just a little bit) many museums were barely accessible. I guess there were guides in English but we were never asked if we like to have one. The one place we were given one automatically was the Silk Workers House, but the text was full of mistakes (letters or part of words were completely missing, wrong translations, etc in both the English and German texts) Lyon is a beautiful city with much to explore, but as a tourist sometimes a bit frustrating and irritating.

Got the citycard + rhonnexpress, it was great! Perfect for visiting for a few days to have everything covered.

Everything from transportation to entrance in museums was facilitated with the Lyon city card.

A lot of times city cards can be hard to get your moneys worth, but with the Lyon Card there's an absolute ton of museums and value to be had! It helped me save a fortune whilst exploring the city! Would definitely recommend.

Excellent investment if the goal is to visit at least two museums a day. Very practical, especially on public transport. I recommend.

When you are buying they show many atractions in many different languages. But in reality, almost everything is in French and the few that are not, you cannot booking because is full. Many atractions closed for no reason. I would not buy again.

Was visiting Lyon with my two young daughters, earned back the value of our 3-day cards already the first day. Such a great relief to travel anywhere on any public transport, priority queues on some museums and even got discounts on some I didn’t expect it too.

The Lyon city card is a great idea and it allows one to enjoy so many if the cities wonderful attractions.

Great value for money, especially when we had an interest in blitzing the museums over 3 days. It was very easy to use, instantly recognised and worked seamlessly with the public transport system.

For a visit of 3-7 days the Lyon City Card is good value covering museums, tours and very importantly all forms of public transport. Some of the rules need to be clearer - for example which activities must be booked via the tourist office and from which activities you can only chose one (E.g.only one tour). Also, you have to use the self-guided tours as soon as you book because you cannot reopen the instructions. Despite these challenges the card is good value.

We tried using the card, but most of the things we wanted to do were not available the day we wanted. Hence, we mainly used the card for the public transport, that is a very expensive choice...

The good people at the Lyon Office of Tourism are wonderful. Getting the Lyon City Card made our visit not only fun but very easy. Thank you! We hope to be back soon.

We loved Lyon - it has many attractions and we were staying at the end of the T2 line. A city card made sense as we visited attractions that were free using the card. The card paid for itself on day one. The transport network is excellent so we used trams and buses - and the funicular too. Very easy to use.

I bought the 4 day Lyon City card. I had to do so in person because I had phone issues, but if you can, order on line for savings. I got my card mid day so I actually used it on 5 cinsecutive days. I visited 7 museums, went on the 1 hr Old Lyon walking tour and the special tour to the rooftop of the Bascillica ( must be booked in advance, stunning views but must be booked in advance. Not for those who cannot climb stairs or afraid of heights. Tour is in French only but they give you a pamphlet in English on request.) Not to be missed.

Also took the Il' de Barbee Cruise at Sunset (18 PM in Oct).

And I used the Metro and trolley and funicular free pass everyday as I was commuting from Lyon 7.

With a bit of planning you can do a lot. Lyon is a beautiful, vibrant city---thanks to the Lyon City Pass for helpung to share with me.

I think the price should be more cheap and with Travel to airport included On the price of normal tickets….

It was great opportunity to see museum and transportation was very good. I didn’t know I can take mag free.

Purchased the 24 h Lyon card before realizing many sites and tours are not offered off season (travelled in October) and are closed Mon and Tuesdays. Definitely unable to get value out of using the card. The card was easy to use. Received by mail ahead of trip.

We mostly used the CityCard for public transportation, but we also used it for 3 museums in 3 days, and an e-bike tour. We would have seen more museums but they're closed on the days we were there. I recommend this card, it was easy to use and we were glad we had it.

With unlimited access to Lyon's public transport, a free boat trip or bus tour plus free entry to the vast majority of Lyon's museums, this great value card more than pays for itself - especially with the optional return trip to Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport on the Rhône Express. In short, an obvious choice for anyone visiting Lyon!

We did not use full value of card but it was very handy and easy for getting around.

I found the card to be useful for public transport and to get you into lots of places. The only thing that I found difficult was picking the card up from Part Dieu Westfield. The instructions are not clear and there are no signs at the service desk that the lyoncard is available. They were even open on the Sunday, the website said they were closed.

The card is a marvellous key to getting round the city and seeing a great deal of the sights and facilities it has to offer. We purchased a 2-day ticket and, together with the min-guide we explored far more museums and activities than we would have done otherwise. Having purchased it online prior to our visit, the instructions for pickup from the Tourist Office were straightforward and the process simple. We encountered no problems using it subsequently for visits and travel. A bonus for us was that its validity is 24/48/72 hours from the day/time of first use, a benefit which effectively gave us an extra morning of use.
We would unquestionably recommend other travellers to use it.

With the Lyon city card, you don’t have to worry about planning which places to go to based on ticket price or transit - most places are free and you have unlimited use of public transit! My only complaint is that the card is only valid for a single visit to each museum, so I couldn’t return to the Musée des Beaux Arts to finish looking through their collections.

Worth buying this card BUT picking it up is a nightmare. We arrived at St Exupery Airport. At the Info, we were directed to the RhoneExpress train (tickets bought online). We asked for the Metro Tickets but they did not seem to understand, both at the airport and at the RhoneExpress. Stopped at Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie to pick a metro to Place Bellecour. Had to buy one way tickets for the whole family. At the Tourist Pavilion, they were very understanding and we were given tickets for transport within Lyon. Otherwise, the Lyon Card is well worth the money spent.

Great card along with an easy map and site to navigate and plan your visit. It includes public transportation which is great. I called and booked my activities - Fourviere rooftop and river cruise. The person that assisted my was patient and did a great job. I usually never buy these types of cards, but I am glad that I did. This is top of the line !! I also think that in the long run, it was a money saver and for sure, a time saver.

I bought a 3 day card and certainly got my moneys worth in terms of transport and entry to various museums etc. You do have to make an effort to visit several sites but they are relatively easy to reach and several are located close to each other, making it easy to use. I probably visited a couple of things I might normally not have done but also got some pleasant surprises by those visits. The included tour of the old city is a must to book for.

We took every type of transit, as the card made it easy. Also went to a few museums, which were very interesting. We plan to visit Lyon again and definitely will get cards again. It was a little tricky finding the reception desk at the shopping center, and we were pulling bags behind us, having just arrived at the train station. But it was an easy process to collect the cards and the reception desk people were efficient and nice.

Lyon card is very useful for the exploration of Lyon. It is a fuss-free transportation card and attraction pass. The staff that assisted me in the purchase of the card was very friendly and helpful!

Very good solution for those who want to enjoy a long stay in the city: I really appreciated the possibility to enter and visit freely the main attractions of the city and moving from one place to another with all public transportation!

The Lyon Card is great; free admission to several musea & gives you preferred entrance where necessary. All public traffic is for free ans simple in use as well.
A beautiful city.

My four days with the LCC were great. I made a boat trip on the Saône, took several times the Vaporette, used the card to take public transport. I visited twice the Museum of Beaux Arts, the Maison des Canuts (with guided tour) and the Musée des Confluences. I joined a guided tour in the Opera de Lyon. It was a pity, I couldn't visit the Musée des Arts decoratiefs, The musee des Tissus and the Musee d'Art Moderne. But that is not your responsabilty (... just a pity for me...). The employee at the office at Bellecour was very friendly and helpful. A good offer, the LCC: I definately recommend!

Using a range of public transport was made much easier with our Lyon cards. And we were more than happy with the range of attractions available using it. Getting it in advance of our trip meant we could work out our itinerary as a lot of places are closed on certain days (especially Monday). Made for an efficient use of our time in Lyon.

It was my first time in Lyon and I spent 3 days for my visit. i decided to wander around the city by foot on my 1st day. It allowed me to have some free and pleasant time exploring the city! However, it was the perfect idea to get a city card on the 2nd day for easy and extensive transport to get to spots on a heavy rainy day! It was a good deal as well to have free access to many highly recommended museums. I went to Lugdunum in Fourviere, Musée des Soieries Brochier in Bellecour, a bit of pity since it was too crowded in Musee des Confluence and i didn't stay for more than 30 minutes. I joined 6pm cruise departing at Bellecour to travel up Saone river. Luckily it was not raining too much and appreciated the explanation of history, culture along the way as well as some fun tips to enjoy more Lyon on the way.

Super easy to use . Getting around Lyon is so easy with the card - you can just hop on and off trams, buses and the metro - and using it to get into museums and attractions is easy too.

It really was difficult to find the location of where to buy these cards when you arrive via train. I called the helpline and was told I could buy it in person. But I was misinformed because I had to go through with an online order anyway. The place to buy it/pick it up is in the Westfield shopping mall reception desk. The address is listed in an odd way on the website such that it was difficult to find it. I was told, when asking for help, to get it at Bellacourt when I knew that I could get it somewhere closer. You should have a sign at the train station and perhaps an automated machine where you could buy it from or a partnership with the transit system from which you could buy it from their machines. Someone kindly told me that the address on your website listed as a place for pickup was in the mall. That should be made clearer online. Also, it’s sad that it pays for admission just once so that you cannot revisit an exhibit that you particularly liked.

You can think that the card is expensive, but you got so much out of it, even without considering all the public transportation around the city. All the activities/poin of interests involved with the card are awesome and at the end you'll save a lot of money too.

We had an intensive couple of days of culture, and used the Leon card to hop on and off public transport. We visited many museums and had a great boat trip.

The card was very useful, good option to discover the city.
One small suggestion: it is pretty challenging to get the card. The online shopping said it can be received at the reception desk of Part-Dieu commercial centre - which is actually the Westfield shopping centre, but as a tourist, is is not clear for the first sight. And a "Lyon card" sticker or sign would be useful at the desk as well.

We explored Lyon using our city cards. What great value for money. From using it on the funicular, up to the basilica to exploring many museums. The puppet museums were amazing. The boat trip is a must too - great that it was included in the card as was all public transport!

An excellent product giving you access to the best museums and tourist attractions - we went to the roof of the Fourviere Basilica, to Musee Ampere, the Musee des Confluences and on two River Saone cruises as well as using the metro, buses and tramway.

We stayed 5 nights in Lyon and used a Lyon City card during 4 days. Everything you need to discover the city is included : musea, boat trip, a tour with a guide, public transport, .. What do you want more? It works perfectly. Very recommendable.

Best tourism strategy

My husband and I visited for a few days and used the 48 hour city cards and loved the experience. We picked up our card from the Tourism office at Place Bellecour and they were so friendly and helpful and answered all of our questions. We loved that the card offered access to the metro/funicular which we used a fair amount. Whether or not the card saves you money depends of course on what you plan to do but if museums/taking the metro/a boat tour are on your list then we definitely recommend!

I bought 2 sets of 4-day Lyon City Cards for my group of 7, so we could all take advantage of the card for 8 days in Lyon. Overall, we loved the access to museums and public transportation, as well as the cruise we took on the Saone.
One small problem - in each set of 7 cards, there was one that we were told was "expired". This happened at different museums, and in one case I had to pay cash for my entry, because I was told the card had expired 2 years ago! So obviously there are glitches with the cards. I did not find the time to go to Bellecour and exchange the bad card for another one. But in general, when they work, they're wonderful!

I found the correspondence before my trip excellent - warm and informative. The woman who helped me in the Bellecour office was the same. Two suggestions would be adding e-scooters to the offer, and finding a way to let digital card holders use public transport without having to pick up a physical ticket. Merci à tous :-)

I thought that the velo'v aspect of the card worked frustratingly poorly.
I ended up buying the ticket three times in an effort to get it to work at the velo'v station.
I ended up spending about €20 on velo'v individual day tickets.
Very frustrating as the Lyon City card is very expensive and if you cannot get discounts you're entitled to, it really erodes the value of card.

This is a great offer for tourists to Lyon. It represents great value, is very easy to use and offers a variety of options. The staff at the Tourist office were very helpful in explaining everything.

The city card is a good choice if you're planning to do a lot of touristy stuff. The card pays for itself very fast.

I bought the card with the Rhônexpress airport shuttle tickets included and that proved to be a problem. You can't pick up the tickets at the airport, only in the city. I emailed and asked about this and the communication was confusing. I quote: "You will receive a digital confirmation with qr codes for the activities, for the access to the airport shuttle Rhonexpress. All you have to do is ask to the flight attendant in the airport shuttle is your ticket for the public transport in Lyon (bus, tram, funicular and metro)."
I never got a qr code for the Rhônexpress and the Rhônexpress staff had no idea what I was talking about, so I had to pay for it again.

When I got to the tourist office at Place Bellecour they had a hard time finding Rhônexpress tickets. I chose not argue about it.

My suggestion: Buy Rhônexpress tickets separately. There's an app.

We bought the Rhône Express and Lyon Card combo and what an excellent choice it was. So straight forward and saved us £££££’s. (Probably would have saved us more if we spent less time in bars and restaurants and more time visiting attractions!)

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Lyon thanks to the Lyon City card. It introduced us to museums, sites, and experiences that we probably wouldn't have easily discovered.

This was a very useful card for public transportation and the boat tour we took. I don't think we used it enough to get our full value from it, but it was very hot when we visited, so we didn't go out as much as we otherwise would have. I would buy this card again next time I visit Lyon.

The Lyon City Card made it so easy to get around Lyon and see all the City has to offer. The metro is so easy to use and being able to use the card was perfect. I did a number of tours and museums and they were all fantastic and the card paid for itself and more.

The card is very practical to use. We loved the big selection of museums and tours (especially the boat tours!) included with the card, and that all the public transport is included too. It would be great if there was an option to take it for longer than 4 days, and if the student discount was bigger.

Once we got our cards, they were easy to use and helpful. However, when I had time, I checked prices for the museums and transportation that we used, and the cards did not save money for what we did with them. But for others who might have done more, the cards would be helpful. The other piece of advice that I would give the managers of the Lyon City Card is to be clear about where to pick up the cards in Part Dieu. I thought it was at the train station. When I checked the instructions and it said "Commercial Center," I didn't understand that this was (what I would call the) shopping center across the street from the train and metro stations.

The city pass made exploring more things in Lyon east and fun to try. Great value. Staff in the Tourism office were very helpful and thoroughly addressed our questions.

The offers that Lyon City Card was fantastic. Using trams, metros, buses and entering to museums with one card is very fascinating but collecting the card was not as indicated in your website.
I entered to Lyon from Part-Dieu strain station by Train. In your website it was saying that I can buy Lyon City Card from Relay H shops inside the Part-Dieu Train station. After I arrived to the station I visited both Relay H shop inside the train station but both shop didn't have left the card. They recommended to me to go shopping center to get the card. I walked to the shopping center with my luggages and my child to collect the card. Before that I bought the card from internet with 6000001090 reference number. I visited the reception that indicated in website which was "The reception desk in the Part-Dieu shopping centre, level 0, Place de l’Eau." but they said that it is not possible to collect the card in shopping center and they told me that I need to visit the Tourist Office Pavilion in Bellecour. It was not possible for me to travel to Bellecour first with my luggages and my child so I had to visit my hotel to leave my luggages. All my plan was delayed and I needed to pay extra travel expenses to travel from Part-Dieu train station to Perrache to leave my luggages. And then I paid additional travel fee to travel from Perrache to Bellecour to get my Lyon City Cards. I paid additional 7.6 Euros to only get my Lyon City Cards.

We used the card for every museum we wanted to see, a fair number of metro rides, and a boat ride. Would love for you to get a better English speaker for the boat tour — aside from the latest, the card’s purchases were well appreciated!

Very simple and useful

I was very happy with the Lyon City Card. I would have bought a three-day pass for public transport anyway, so financially it made a lot of sense to go for the City Card and have pretty much everything I wanted to see included. Unfortunately I couldn't manage to see one or two attractions (scheduling and/or closures), but that is not the fauilt of the Card and only means I'll be coming back to Lyon some time! Fully recommend

The card is excellent value and worked really well for the attractions. Unfortunately we bought the ticket because it included the Rhone express from the airport and this did not work out. the staff on the Rhone express did not agree with the claims on the city card instructions that you just had to hand the card to the conductor. we had to argue our case on both trips. We did get the trips but it was embarrassing to have to debate with the staff. It appeared that Lyon City card and Rhone express were not working from the same understanding. A shame as it is great value!

Great card - really useful.
We were worried as we knew you needed to book the river cruise and tour of the Basilica roof beforehand, and we didn't get any replies to our emails.
But the lady in the Office Tourisme was very helpful and sorted it all out.
We did lots of touristy things and saved lots.
We started using it at 11am (you buy it, and it only begins on first use) so we could use it to get to the station on our final morning.

The card is very valuable and helpful, we took for 4days. It only startes when you go to the first Musium or activity, and the part of the transportation starts only when you use transportation, that is more then fair, plan you're visit wisely and enjoy

I recently visited Lyon with 4 friends and had purchased the Lyon Card in advance for each of us. We had the 4 day card and used it extensively on the funicular, the metro, museums and the river cruise. It made getting around really easy and hassle free. A super product.

I would highly recommend it. I got the cards posted to me in advance so we could use them immediately once we arrived in Lyon.

Useful in a very well thought public transportation system + great museums

We had just over 3 days in Lyon. After a bit of confusion, I purchased the tickets online as I wanted the inclusion of the airport tram ticket. I didn’t find it very clear but in reality it’s fairly simple. You get a qr code for the tram and one that is the city card. On boarding the tram, a steward gives you a separate 72 hour ticket for all your transport needs. Yes, it’s a little bit inconvenient having separate tickets but not too bad.

We managed to book an English speaking tour but only on the day we were leaving, of the old town. We had already wandered this area the day before the tour but it was nice to get talked through things, esp as I didn’t have a tour book and hadn’t done my usual reading up of the area. Although there were 20 of us in the group, the guide was very good and you could hear her clearly.

There is no way we did justice to the Lyon city card, we didn’t want to go to lots of museums, but you would definitely get your money’s worth that way. We went to the hyperrealism exhibition in the sucriere, I had mainly wanted to see the building…you don’t see the building really but the exhibition was one of the highlights of the trip, perhaps as it was unplanned.

All in all, I’d recommend the card and if the weather is less kind to you ( was lovely when we were there) I could see more use being made of the indoor museums.

The card arrived within 3 days of purchasing, came with a very useful map and suggestions of places to visit. On arrival in Lyon we activated the card by using the tram, extremely easy to use

This is a very good idea and we have used similar cards in other European cities. However we found the Lyon card was poor value. There is barely enough time in a day to get your money’s worth and you will come out ahead by paying for museums as you need. We regret buying them. What they offer is excellent but the card itself costs more than several museum entrances.

To explore Lyon the City Card is great. Public Transport is very simple to use and the Choice of Museums is good.

The card makes life easy, hop on and off on public transport, in en out Musea with good info.

The card is very useful and has awesome value for your money. However getting the card itself was a nightmare. The website wasn’t very clear about the location for Matabiau station, which ended up being the info booth at the shopping mall. The staff there also didn’t seem prepared to hand out the card and has us waiting for a quite a while.

We made good use of our Lyon City Card. Started with a Metro Ride to Lumiere. Then we used it for the museum. This museum is a must see in Lyon! We headed back on the D train and got off to take the B train only to discover it was not operating. So back on the D for one stop. Then we hopped the tram. Walked to the Resisitance Museum (disappointing compared to Amsterdam’s) where we used our pass. Then it was a tram ride back to our hotel. After lunch we rode the funicular up and back to the viewpoint.

We used the metro passes everyday. Helped us navigate the city easily and quickly. It also included admission to the Musee de Confluences and the Fernicular to the Fourviere Hill activities. All worthwhile.

The Lyon City Card is the best way to see the best of Lyon, and it makes it simple to get around by Metro and bus as well !
I would highly recommend any of my American compatriots to use this card in order to make your Lyon visit fun and easy !

We stayed near the old city and loved our time there. We visited Fourviere and walked back through .the rose gardens. It was wonderful. We also visited the Guignol museum and the miniatures museum. We got great value out of the Lyon city Card during our visit.

I reserved for three days thinking that I would make full use of the card from Saturday through Monday. It would have been good to know that 90% of the sights are closed on Mondays. Ultimately there were no significant savings from the card, just the convenience of not having to purchase tickets. Because of the card I visited some museums that I may have otherwise ignored, and they turned out to be quite charming.

London has its Oyster Card, well many cities around the world have a way to simplify getting around using their transport system.
But Lyon takes the next step! With the same card you enter ALL museums, and more sights and attractions than you can possibly visit in a week. For a surprisingly low cost. Really amazing.

Took the 3 day option. Not sure if I covered the cost of the card but probably did. Either way, the real value for me was that everything was on a single card which was very easy to use in the museums and public transportation. Great product overall !

The Lyon card is great in terms of what you can access - both in terms of travel as well as the options of guided walks and boat tours etc.
I am less impressed with the logistics in getting hold of the actual card. Upon arrival at the airport there was no one at the Customer service desk to ask regarding the Lyon card and how to reach the Gare. Once at the gare, the guard explained that he would give me a physical ticket for the express train as well as 2 little paper tickets for my 4 days in Lyon. I would have preferred to receive one card that would facilitate all travel. Or received via an APP a card i can scan everywhere. There was a lot of inconvience in carrying the little paper tickets as well as having to demonstrate the actual Lyon card emails for the QR code to be scanned for the tours and attractions. Make the system uniform with ONE card on an app that does everything please. It will save a lot of hassle for the tourists.

I got the 4 day version with return ticket for the Rhonexpress. The ticket more than paid for itself and the map with details of Lyon’s many attractions proved invaluable in planning my days and finding my way! Totally recommended- thank you.

Coming from Australia I found the Lyon City Card was a great way to get around all the transport in the city and access to many of the activities. It was easy and worthwhile knowing I always had a ticket! I also purchased the Card with Rhone Express to the airport which was really easy and convenient. Highly recommended!

I used a three day Lyon City Card in my recent visit to the city. It worked perfectly and took all the hassle out of moving around the city and entry into the main visitor attractions.

We started our holiday on friday 29 april. We didn’t knew that the 1 of may there is no public transport in France. There was even not a limited offer. So we payed for 3 days and got only services for 2 days. That should have been comunicated better. Maybe all the France people know that but certainly not the foreigners.
For my friends: go to France but not the 1 of May!

The Lyon City Card was an excellent value! We used it on the metro, bus, tram and funicular, received free admission to activities, and experienced excellent customer service.

We liked the gastronomy and transport options. Some museums were not available without explanation or for maintenance. Updates in the same style as the excellent information about changed boat tour schedule would be very good. Would be good if booking in advance (eg tour) didn't start the use of timing limit. We booked a 1530 tour at 0930. This started our card, which we didn't use to enter another site until 1300.

The City Card was really useful. We used it on the Citibus (2 hour-trip, free) and a little so-called tram (un petit train touristique), which was one hour long and we got a reduction. Both took in a number of sights of the city. We also used the citicard to go on both funiculars, the vaporetto and the guignol museum. Altogether, we saved a number of euros. So, great value in a beautiful city!

Great to have the option of tram / metro / bicycle and make full use of the city's excellent public transport system.

I definitely recommend the Lyon City Card to anyone who is thinking of visiting Lyon. Made extensive use of the public transport and went to six attractions (Musée des Beaux-Arts, Musée des Confluences, the rooftop tour of the Basilica at Fourvière, Musée Miniature et Cinéma, a river trip on Les Bateaux Lyonnais, and Centre d'Histoire de la Résistance et de la Déportation, all of which were 'free of charge' after having purchased the Cards. Also got a discount on a game of mini-golf in the Parc de la Tête d'Or. Saves a lot of money, and is very convenient. We very much enjoyed visiting Lyon!

The card was perfect for a first visit.
It made travel very easy, with no need to buy tickets.

EXCEPT on the return journey to the airport by the Rhone Express. I was refused boarding because two members of the crew did not know how to scan the barcode to register it, claiming that it did not cover travel on the Rhone Express, despite having Rhone Express written on it. I had to find my purchase order to prove to them that it was included.

This, however, was the only issue during the entire trip and could easily be rectified with a few moments of training for these Rhone Express staff.

For a first visit OR a visit to see multiple attractions, the Lyon City Card is valuable for introductory tours, public transportation, site entrance fees, and maps/suggestions.

Great for getting around the city, and into some wonderful museums. To help improve, it would be a good idea to get an app to help manage the discounted locations you can get into with the Lyon city card. Also, would be great if the city card could be adjusted for lengths of stay over 72 hours up to 10 days.

All very good with one exception - I wasn't given my TCL ticket by the Rhonexpress stewards during my trip from the airport. Fortunately the staff at the ONLYLYON Tourist Office Pavillion on the Place Bellecour were able to provide me with one.

We bought a 4 day pass and used for entries to the major museums and especially for the transportation. It made our stay effortless.

The card it self was very fun to use but what made it even better was the nice Lady at the Belle Cour info Box. She gave us so much inspiration and drew tours we could do on the map she gave us. We literally followed them for the 2days and we had so much fun. I can’t recommend going to the Info box and talk to those people.

The museum Confluences and others are impressive! Public transportation is convenient, especially to use the Rhôneexpress

The card is great for every museum... the miniature museum didn't want to accept the card because we arrived at 17:40.. they close at 18:30.. they said the ticket office is closed but we didn't need tickets because we had the pass.

The City Card enabled us to visit all the museums we wanted to and we had unrestricted travel. It was very easy to use and readily accepted. We knew in advance how much we would be spending.

Went in to the tourist office to ask about more information. They were very helpful, spoke fluent English. I found out about the discounted price online. So I bought it online by myself, and collected my Lyon City Card from the tourist office. They also helped me with other reservations (ground tour, river cruise etc). Got the 2 days card for 33.9 EUR, ended up using 60.5 EUR value worth of activities !

We had a wonderful time in Lyon .and all the more so with the help of our card .we made full use of the bus, tram and underground .It would have been heplful if the card was available to buy on internet and not sent to our home, as we found out about the card the day before, and wasn't able to take advantage of the reduced return train ticket from the airport to the city .

This card is great value for money and allows you to visit tours/museums that you might not if you had to "pay" to get in. With the tube and public transport thrown in - even better. We'll definitely use it again on our next trip.

I found this card extremely useful to allow me to travel around Lyon easily using metro, tram and funicular, and to get free access to the Musee des Confluences. This saved time and made things simpler for me as a visitor coming to Lyon for the first time. My only difficulty was in locating the reception desk at Part Dieu shopping centre where I picked up the card - maybe your website could include clearer directions or a map to enable the visitor to easily find the desk.

We received excellent service at the Office de Tourism in Lyon. The helped us purchase the cards and explained to us what places required reservations in advance, what was available to see and do, and more. The card does pay for itself if you visit a few attractions and also use public transport.
I would definitely buy one again the next time I visiti.

Very rewarding and beautiful experience, delightful two days spent in Lyon Metrópole. It would have been useful to have had an English speaking walking guide available. We weren't able to make use of the app alternative as do not have the roaming facility However, we thoroughly enjoyed all the museums we visited and appreciate the English translations and especially on the boat trip

We were in Lyon for just under 2 days, and I bought a 2 day card for each of us. It was great to be able to use the subway and trams and funicular without worrying about learning how to buy and use tickets. We visited three museums, including one we stumbled upon. We at least broke even on the cost, but more important was the convenience.

It is the best city card I have used in recent years and excellent value for money. It not only provide you freedom to travel around the city with all public transportations, but also give you access to many wonderful museums, either free or with reduced price. One should definitely get a Lyon City Card when planning to visit Lyon!

I received my Lyon City Card at the Tourist Information Centre. The man who helped me was very friendly and helpful. He booked me a walking tour of the historical sites and a boat tour. He also introduced me to the restaurant area. I really enjoyed my stay in Lyon very much.

We enjoyed the extra freedom the card provided.

The Lyon City Card was a great stress free way of exploring the city attractions and using the public transport. When we return I'll order in advance to avoid the walk to the Office de tourism to collect. There was so much available to do that 24hrs wasn't enough. We will definitely be back for a longer visit. To make the most of the card, plan which attractions you want to visit as some were closed on the day we went and others need to be booked.

The card made it easy to visit Lyon. I visited a number of places I would not have gone to without the card. Adding the city bike option on for an extra 5 Euros was fantastic and let me cruise around the city at my own pace.

It was good but I had some problems with activating my Lyon Vélo V formula that was bought through Lyon City Card

The cost benefits was good. The explanation by staff was kind and satisfactory.
The card had to be collected at the Lyoncity spot. This is inconvenient for users. I would suggest Lyoncity to replace the plastic card by a electric means with a QR code this will enable users to access the service before Lyoncity offices start in the morning without requiring collecting the card all the way to the lyoncity spot. I did enjoy some musea and an easy way to enter those is the City Card!

The Lyon City Card is good value for money. It gives you the freedom and ease to discover this wonderful city without constantly having to buy metro tickets for example. The RhoneExpress airport service is excellent and takes away the hassle of working out how to transfer on arrival and departure. The amazing Museum of Printing & Graphic Communication (Musée de l’Imprimerie et de la Communication Graphique) deserves a special mention, not only for the exhibits but also for the building itself, the red leitmotif and the friendly and helpful staff.

You can visit many museums with this card and all public transport is for free. The price is not expensive and the information is very good.

Very good card, keeps me going! But river cruise was almost disappointment; there were not any signs by the river, where to hop on (or off). Luckily I got onboard after walking at least one kilometer by the river. And they asked me on cruise when I´m going to hop off!

The Lyon City Card provides a wonderful introduction to the city. With it, we learned the history of the city through a fantastic guided tour; rode on the "hop-on, hop-off" bus to acquaint ourselves with the layout; and rode the funicular several times. If we'd been able to stay longer, we would have used it even more. Our Lyon City Expert, Rachel, was a superb hostess as well.

This card was the best thing we purchased once we arrived in Lyon. The Tourism office location is very central and the staff there speak perfect English and were very friendly and helpful. We used ALL methods of transportation with this card and with the help of Google maps, it directed us exactly on which to take, when and where. We had access to all the museums, hop on and off bus and a walking tour with a guide to the old part of Lyon.

I wish we had more time as Lyon is a big city with a lot of things to see, do and experience. Will defiantly come back again.

It was easy to pick up the pass upon arrival at Lyon's airport, and the pass allowed us to smoothly explore the city without having to worry about paying for individual trips or day passes. It also gave us great access to Lyon's biggest museums and attractions at a very affordable price.

This card makes it so easy to take advantage of all that Lyon has to offer. Handy to hop on the metro, bus, tram or funicular. Great time saver to be able to pop into any of the museums spur of the moment. I also highly recommend seeing one of the Guignol puppet shows.

A wonderful city that is one of the best kept secrets from us in N. America. Very walkable, friendly, wonderful food, very affordable. The Confluence Museum is a must see. Excellent designed building & wonderfully displayed contents. The subway, buses, & trams are so easy to use. Definitely a city to return to.

Excellent for travel and museums etc. in Lyon. The additional airport transfer on the RhoneXpress is worthwhile.
The collection point at the airport should have better signs with an indication of the distance to be walked. It was definitely out of the main terminals.

The LCC was very useful and easy to use. A suggestion: it should really be valid for 48/72 hours and not only from 5.30 to 0.30.

Great if you'll visit 2 museums per day along with the transport. It makes the whole experience lot easier when you don't have to worry about transport tickets and money. If you're just going to use it for transport, you don't need it (day fare is 7 eur). Also, it's a great reminder of the trip and you get a little foldable map which indicates the places of interest.

I purchased a 3-day Lyon City Card and was glad I did so, as it covered me for the majority of my time during a four-and-a-half day stay in the city. Whether I got full value out of it (ie whether my wallet would have actually ended up emptier if I had not had the card at all) is a moot point, but it was good to be able to use all main modes of public transport without worrying about racking up individual journey fares, and it was nice to be able to wander into pretty well any museum or gallery and wave the card in order to gain free entry.

Warning: several of the museums/galleries I visited turned out to have 'last admission' times up to an hour before their advertised closing time, and the card could not gain me access after the last admission time, since it needed to be converted into a paper ticket by the box office which had already closed!

The advantage conferred by the card for the Velov cycle hire scheme seemed a little inflexible, although I did make use of it for Velov on my final day. Also, I was not clear whether the City Card could have helped me for the Rhone Express shuttle train from & back to the airport (in any event I had already bought myself a full price return ticket for the shuttle train when I first arrived at the airport).

It might be better to revise the validity arrangements of the card so that it runs per calendar day rather than per time elapsed from first use - I think the former is less confusing for users. (Or perhaps allow both options?)

Its a convenient way to discovery the city.Staff at the tourist centre were friendly and helpful.Lyon is a beautiful city with great architecture, museums and good eat out places.One suggestion : It will be helpful if you put some tourist info kiosk or booth with map of the important location .. metro, bus or transport to take at key places like Bellecour or city centre when we visit one place, would know how to reach the next place to visit.

We enjoyed our city tour very much.
We visited the confluences museum, the print museum, the miniatures and CC inema museum and the belles arts museum. We travelled by bus, metro and trainvoie. All very comfortable with the lyon card.

The card is really a money saving/time saving way to get to know Lyon. Make sure that you get all the info in time and then get ready to make use of all the services that its purchase gives access to.

We made the most of the card, using the metro multiple times, as well as doing a free tour and a boat tour. While we enjoyed the boat tour, it was very inconvenient to have to reserve the cruise on the same day, and in person (it messed up our plans for the day). If you go to a couple museums, though, the one-day card pays for itself

With transport and museums all included it was easy to create an itinerary for our trip to Lyon. As soon as I had booked the card online, I was able to book us a walking tour in English, which we enjoyed very much.

This card was just brilliant and really proved an invaluable tool on our trip to Lyon. I guess you need to be a good planner to make full use of the card as we visited several museums as well as the guided walk and boat ride. Getting around town so easily was probably the biggest asset as it took all the stress out of travelling. No criticisms at all , maybe a 7 day version of the card would be a great addition.

Thanks to the card you don’t have to worry about any of your Your tickets for transportation. You just decide to get iff the tram and walk a little then get on another one, and so on. Best museums in Lyon are free of charge with the card.

This card is a great value for your money, especially when you consider that it includes free access to public transit (which is very easy to use in Lyon). It covered access to all the museums I wanted to visit and more. I especially loved that it came with a free guided tour of my choice - the guide shared so much interesting information about the city that I would never have discovered otherwise. The City Card made it easy to get around - bus, metro, water taxi - and we didn't have to purchase tickets each time we boarded. It also saved us money since it included the Hop-on Hop-off bus and our tour in Vieux Lyon. (also included museums, but most were closed due to the holiday when we visited).

We bought a 2-day card online, picked up at Part Dieu.
No information that on Friday the 1st of November all museum were closed.
We like Lyon but this was bad.

Very good value. Me and my wife got the Lyon City Card for one day and we got to see 3 attractions that were included + 1 attraction with discount. Not to mention that public transit was also included which was great as the attractions were spread around the city. Highly recommend!

We spent 4 days of action-packed city-break in Lyon and were thrilled with the services of the Information Office in persuading us to buy the Lyoncitycard. The high spots were: the boat trip, the Musee de Confluences, the walk around the Croix Rousse area. We were disappointed in the English-speaking guided walk of the Vieux Ville. The city is fabulous and I’ve recommended it to many friends since getting back.

When I read this official site, it said return fare of Rhone Express was included. (With a picuture!) Actually, it wasn't! We were told there is a combo Lyon City Card which includes Rhone Express train when we got to Lyon. However, on the website it didn't mention at all and me &my friends ended up paying extra after arguing with a train conductor.
I think you need to change that confusing statement on the website.
Except that fact, card itself may be with.

We enjoyed using the card. We have found differences in accepting the card in the museums. As in the Belle art museum we could just enter by showing and scanning the card, in the contemporary museum we had to wait in a long queue to get a ticket before we could enter the museum. This process should be improved.

I purchased a four-day city card, but it was straddling Monday, so I couldn't use it because there were many museum closed days on Monday.

This was good for museums and public transport but thought that there should have been a greater discount for the bus tour. Also the translation in English of the Rhône express card being at ‘your disposal’ is misleading. You have to pay (more if not bought in advance!)

This card is prefect for exploring Lyon! The transport system is very efficient and easy to use, and the card allows you to make the most of travelling all over the city. It also gets you into the most interesting museums and I found it to be prefect for my visit. The other thing to remember is that it's valid in 24 hour increments from the first time you use it!

It used to be that if you used the bus on the evening of your arrival, that you had then used up that entire day for transit. It’s better now, but the clock still starts ticking separately for transit use vs. museum visits. Why not make the card start on a particular day and time for both. Also the directions regarding this were different online (not updated?) vs. what we were told in the tourist office.

It might also be nice if the the office offered other options. We wanted to walk most of the time, and could have been better served with a museum-only card. i understand there is something like that available for 6 museums in Lyon, but it seems to only be sold at the museums, not at the tourist office. I’m not sure why.

I bought the 4-day card and felt that it was a decent value, although 4 days of museum visits can be a bit much. Again, the museum card might have been better, as it seems to be good for one year.

The combination of all-inclusive travel and free access to so many sights meant that we visited far more museums and locations than we would have done! Great value and a brilliant way to get the most from our stay in Lyon!

I have traveled quite a bit and never seen or used anything like the City Card. Lyon is a lovely city to walk in but all the transport included in the card is a great idea. The lack of hassle using transport alone is practically worth the cost of the card. Then in addition, the free entrance to a variety of museums, a boat ride, and a guided tour are all included.
You couldn't ask for a better arrangement for a tourist. I hope you are able to persuade other cities to follow your lead.

I was very happy with the quality of attractions that the card covered. We had a great time in Lyon.
However, upon purchasing the card, I realized I had selected the wrong item. I meant to purchase the card with the Rhonexpress train addition. I emailed your company's customer service right away to try to rectify the error, but I never received any response. When I picked up the card from the Lyon airport, I explained the situation to the employee, but she could not help. We had to buy a separate ticket for the train. Even though I understand from your website that no modifications shall be made upon purchase, the experience left a bitter taste in my mouth as I feel this is an easy correction to make for those companies that focus on customer satisfaction and positive word of mouth.

We spent the weekend in Lyon for my wife's birthday. The Lyon City Card made travelling very easy and we visitted several museums we would not normally have visitted. We recommend the City Card for it's convenience and value.

We signed up for this two hour as soon as we arrived in Lyon. The staff at the Bellecour Centre were very helpful in providing details and general questions. The tour itself was fantastic and a great add-on to the Lyon City Card itself. The tour leader, Jerome, was fun, knowledgeable and patient.
We walked to and discovered things about Vieux Lyon we never would have if we'd tried to do some of this on our own. Just navigating the traboules and passageways made it worthwhile. Afterwards walking a discovering Vieux Lyon seemed so much easier.

WE bought a two day Lyon City Card for our recent trip to the city. Even though we were there for six days we did manage to get great value out of those two days by planning where and when we'd visit certain locations. The transportation section of the card is invaluable and we used it a lot to save our feet. The card itself was fantastic for cutting lines for tickets and also a a money saver. We visited many museums and saved many more dollars that we spent.
In hindsight another day would have been even better if you have a longer stay but either way a great deal.

I really liked the Lyon City Card and the opportunities it gave. We saw so much more then the old town and everything was easily accessible when having the local traffic transportation included in the card. When the card has RhonExpress train tickets it is very affordable. We had it for four days so we didn't have the feeling that we needed to squeeze in everything in one day. We visited one tourist attraction per day, one day two and felt we had gained excellent value for the card.

The city card saved us time and money. We had 2 full days in Lyon in October 2019. We really enjoyed the Musee des Beaux Artes , the Resistance Museum and the Confluence museum. We loved the boat trip, which was included in the price of the card. We were very impressed with the excellent system of public transport. We paid for a return ticket to the airport on the Rhone Express and thought it was excellent value.
We thought Lyon was a delightful city and intend to return!
It did take a while and a long walk to find the Welcome Desk to pick up the card at the airport. Telling buyers it is near the station would help. Also, please include a bus map!

It was great for transport in the TCL network. But at the tourist office, you can also use it to book a walking tour of old Lyon (free): one vaporetto journey to the Musee des Confluences; and free entry to other museums. For me, the Roman history museum was particularly impressive. I also added the return trip to the airport.

Very convenient to buy and collect card. Very user friendly with and museum entrance and public transport included. Made use of the trabouille Vieux Lyon guided tour and the guide Benedicte was very informative, could tell a lot and make jokes to keep you focused.
Our visit to the info centre at Bellecour (Laureen) and the Welcome centre at the airport was well worth it; at both pavilions we got lots of inside info about the city which you can’t find in the guidebooks, like good shopping streets and where to eat at places which are "hot" for locals.
All in all very great experience!

The Lyon City card was perfect for a visit to Lyon. It enabled us to discover many interesting attractions and encouraged us to use public transport to get around the city. The card really enhanced our visit to Lyon.

Bought it twice during 11 days. The one time it covered museums and transit and saved us money. The other time the museums happened to be free so did not save much but did get a walking tour included.

My friend and I purchased a student Lyon city card (€37) for a weekend- superb value, as it covers all public transport, more museums than you could even visit, a walking tour and a boat tour. Plus the lady who sold it to us was very helpful.

A very useful card, particularly if you have accommodation in the heart of the city and wish to return for a rest after your outings, as transit is very easy to navigate; modern and clean. We had a two day pass and did not have time to do all the things that we could have which were included in the pass. The free entrance to certain tours, opera, and basilica for example saved us money, as well as the river cruise. The staff at the information centre at Place Bellecour are exceptional!

A very interesting city in which we spent 8 days. It's compact and public transport is excellent. We recommend the Lyon City Card.

We loved visiting the friendly and historic city of Lyon. The Lyon City Card made our visit easy and enjoyable. The transit pass got us in from the airport fast and we used the metro everyday. We also toured several museums and entry was included with the Lyon City Pass. The Pass was a great value and made our visit easy.

We had a three day City Card and found it to be very useful throughout our stay. Okay, we didn’t want to see all the museums but the walking tour and the boat trip were very good as was the tour of the Basilica rooftops. The transportation was very easy to use and being able to hop on and off the metro, the trams and buses made getting around easy. Adding in the Rhône Express return to the airport made it excellent value.

Two things to note: firstly, the Rhône Express is separate from the City card so it can be used after the card has expired and secondly, the timings for the metro and the museums are independent so you can spend your first day travelling around and not use the museum part of the card until the second day. Okay, that means that for the last day of the museums you do not have the travel element of the card but with good planning, it works!

We used our cards on our honeymoon to visit galleries museums and restaurants. It was so easy to get around on bus metro or tram..we loved our stay in beautiful Lyon and the card made it so easy to enjoy

Buying LyonCity Card was a best choice we could have made.

We have managed to save around 70 euros per person.

I read about this before setting out, but procrastinated and failed to book it on-line. I wish I had, because the Place Bellecour was very near our hotel, and I could easily have picked it up on our first day. Instead, we bought it from the main Tourist Office there. I know it was only a few euros more, but the margins are fairly tight, as described. The only quibble I have is that even with two energetic people planning a fully packed two days, (I didn't get the card to cover our afternoon of arrival or morning of departure) I think financially we only just broke even/made a saving.
On day 1 we visited 3 museums and used the funicular. On day 2 we did the 1 hour river cruise, visited a further 2 museums and used the metro several times. I kept a mental rather than physical tally and decided we definitely broke even, and probably saved a small amount. What we did save however was a huge amount of effort, time and ticket buying. Lyon is quite compact and for people used to London, we often walked the short distances rather than using the bus/metro, so this may have affected the overall "score". However, it is a very useful, flexible and helpful aid to seeing the beautiful and interesting city of Lyon. On balance I'd recommend getting one, but with the caveat that you do have to be pretty active to justify it.

Totally worth the money; with three museum visits, a boat cruise, plus the public transport, we easily saved €20 per person. Highly recommended!

Good value for money, enables access to museums, galleries, unlimited public transport...

This was my savior in Lyon, a city I'd not yet visited. The transportation system in Lyon is very good and I tapped into that more than anything else, but I got a free walking tour, boat trip and of course museum visits as well. If you're weighing the costs, think of the time you'll save, and if you're like me, the confusion you'll avoid if you don't do well at ticket machines for just one example. I would add that you should use the Tourist Office as well. I was helped by the excellent Fatima, who gave me advice on how much I could save with the card. Loved it!

The pass is an excellent deal for visitors to the Lyon region - the included airport transfer, transit card, and discounts/free entry into many attractions makes this a great deal. The only regret is that you cannot use it as a non-continuous item - i.e. buy a three-day card and use Monday, Tuesday, and Friday with day trips outside of Lyon between.

For the second time we visit your beautiful city. The first time was in 2012 and it was a rainy stay of 2 days. We’ve stay longer and the weather was fine.
We’ve visited Lugdunum musea and the old ancient buildings. We’ve also visited La Baselique de Norte Dame de Fourvière.
Our appartement was in Lyon Vieux and we ‘ve walked every day through this area and also crossed the bridge over de river Saône, for visiting the market,restaurant and shops in the second department. We’ve also used the possibility for a boat trip to the upper part of the Saône. We also used the metro. Lyon became a popular city for us. We hope to visite your city offen.

Just back from a weekend break in Lyon, have to say the city card is excellent value, lots of museums and attractions included in the price and access to Lyons transport network of buses, trams and metro lines and all wheelchair friendly - Brilliant, worthy of 5 stars - would highly recommend for sightseeing, we didn’t spend another penny getting in to any of the attractions we visited.

As I noted on TripAdvisor, this card is a GREAT help to visitors to wonderful Lyon. And the staff is very responsive to emails.

The Lyon City Card allowed us to access some of the best of Lyon experiences: unlimited rides thought public transports and entrances included for the most iconic culture of Lyon during 3 days. A guided visit to Old Lyon and boat trips is also included in the card. The staff of Only Lyon tourism office were also very nice. Totally worth it.

The card made for a very easy way to access the museums - I went to the history, confluence and resistance museums - and public transport systems of Lyon. (I have not really assessed "value for money" of doing these things separately.) Two slight criticisms; The "Welcome Desk" at the airport is not at all easy to locate and (to my surprise) not signposted in any way; the "Rhone Express" card, although included in the total paid, was a separate card to keep track of.

We recommend Lyon City Card to all visitors of Lyon as it is easy for use, have a lot of options that you can combine and it is, after all, less expensive comparing to prices of singular services that you plan to take.

If you have just a few days in Lyon and intend to see as much as possible then the card is invaluable.It gives open access to all transportation without queuing ,A river trip, guided tours and free entry to many museums and other discounts.

I am usually sceptical about purchasing city cards when on a city break, they rarely save money unless you plan to rush round attractions. The lyon card is certainly an exception. The card with the airport tram included is incredible good value, and with many of the main attractions being very close to one another it is very easy to make good use of the card. In the three days we had in Lyon we were able to visit the Fine art Museum, roman museum and the cinema museum. We also used the metro a lot and the funicular. Overall an excellent card and Lyon is a beautiful city, well worth visiting.

Purchased card for 2 days, but didn't go to any museums. I did use the card for the bus and the metro. Tried to use it for the VeloV bike discount, but the two systems were not linked. Some of the museums were closed, and the city had construction almost everywhere, so I didn't get the most out of the card, but it was helpful, and I enjoyed the small group tour of the Troubles and Old Town.

We purchased the cards online as we were en route to Lyon. Very easy to collect the cards and we used them to get from Part Dieu to our hotel as all public transport is included. We used the cards to gain entry to various museums and galleries and also enjoyed the boat trip on the Soane. A good purchase and really useful for getting the most out of the city.

For just over €40 I was able to freely travel from the airport to Lyon Centre, then experience the best of this beautiful city, including a guided tour in English and a boat trip to L’ile Barbe along the Soane River. It was magnificent.

The city card is a key for many activities (museums etc) and a pass to all public transportation means so for a visitor-tourist is very helpful.

We were with a group of three and went to the office near cathedral. We weren't sure if we wanted to buy the card for it costs some euros and we did not know if it was worth it. But the kind lady explained everything and gave very good information about the advantages of the card and explained everything on a map. So we bought the card for three days. We used it very much and enjoyed every minute of it. We visited a lot of the museums, used the metro and bus, made a Traboules tour and also a boat tour. So we saved a lot of money and enjoyed our stay to the most. Thank you for that!

Unfortunately the website for the public transport at http://plan-interactif.tcl.fr/ was very bad to use.

(the maps supplied with the lyoncard did not show bus routes, only metro and trams (and C rutes maybe?) but not busses)

on my phone, the text and directions would fill 70% of the map area, it was only in French, it did not automatically find my location or sync with the time (I.e. if I search, and 2 hours later open it again time is not updated) and locations had to also be typed in French. it did not specify that "C6" was a overhead-powered bus so we were looking for a tram. searching seems to always favour metro - so you walk 400meter to a metro, and then walk 600 meters after getting off to walk to final destination even though bus is less walking, you need to tweak search options (which are again in french) to get less walking distance with busses and trams.

card itself was OK. value ok. no problems getting to the choice of museums, it was good. but terrible to try and use public transport with such outdated website. if i did not get discount with interrail then it would be too expensive with lyon card over public transport card and individual museum visits.

button line is when you go from A to B, B to C, C to D, and THEN D to A, 3 days in a row, then transport with this website gets too annoying unfortunately.

Lyon, is full of surprises, larger than I thought or expected.
We had a City Card for two days but could have done with buying 3 days, if we had known the extent of the city and the time taken to visit each location, it might be useful for visitors to getthis information from the tourist information.
However the card is value for money, giving you access to the transport and locations.

The citycard is so simple to use and makes exploring the city a breeze.

There are many transport facilities in Lyon. We can get on transport facilities with this card. It is easy to visit a historical spots. We can get a discounts with Rhone express tickets.

The Lyon City Card is a must have to visit the city. Not only for the free public transport, also for lots of attractions. It’s easier and cheaper in stead of buying single tickets. It also provides you free parking in lots of P&R around Lyon. Note; the days of your visit have to be consecutively.

Lyon city card was really useful for me and my family. We have visited several museums without queueing as well as got a boat trip which is also included in the card as prepaid.
And for sure transport card was extremely useful as you can use any public transport easiliy.
I do recommend the Lyon city card.

Perfect for transport and tourism

I recently bought two cards for my wife and I on our trip to Lyon. We fully used the cards and they proved very useful and by visiting a number of attractions good value for money. We bought the Rhone Express addition to the cards which proved to be as much use and value as a chocolate teapot.

We were amazed that not only could we travel on all public transport and visit attractions for free, we were even able to book online for a guided tour for free using our City Cards.

The Lyon city card does so much more than get you around the streets of Lyon. It gives you free entrance to so many entertaining museums and brilliant activities. My favourites were the marionette museum in old Lyon and the boat trip on the Soane. The choice is so wide there’s always something to suit everyone.

Bought the 3 day card with airport transfer. Made travelling around the city by Metro or bus super easy and fast. No worries about having to buy individual tickets. Took a boat ride, cable car and visited many museums, all included in the ticket. Definitely great value for your money. Highly recommend the Lyon City Card for anyone arriving by plane or train.

Me and my friend purchased a card each with the Rhone express Airport transfer. They were so easy to use and we certegot our money's worth from them. The fact that we bought them in advance meant we only had to worry about money for food and souvenirs while we were away. I'd definitely do it again!

A very good and well organized way to see many Lyon museums and places of interest for a substantially less price and to get Rhonexpress return ticket (for/from the airport) cheaper. A good way to save one's money.

I have visited 5 museums, went to river cruise and used metro a lot for 4 days and did not have to add extra money! The offer is incredible, I learned so much about various subjects and it definitely made my stay enjoyable. Highly recommend!

In 2 days, we saved 30 euros per person with just 2 activities per day (one in the morning, one in the afternoon) + high use of the transport (we took the one with RhoneExpress tickets included). You can totally include more activities, we had some personal constraints but even like that it was totally worth it. I will recommend it to everyone who goes to Lyon. Just as a note: if you decide to pick it up in the airport, it's quite difficult to find their desk (and they don't provide a map...)

This card was great. I wound up going to some places I would not have otherwise, and loves them. Also, the process of getting it was so easy. I went to the tourist office, which is well organized and very helpful, even though the city was packed for the World Cup. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Lyon City Card and the city of Lyon to anybody going to France

We bought the 4-day card with the RhoneExpress (tram to airport) option. Overall it's a very good value if you use the metro and/or other public transportation a moderate amount. The value gets better when you use it for museums and activities. Our use: metro, funiculars, a museum, boat tour, and the docked Velo'v bikes and airport tram. A few things to be aware of:
- I don't believe it's based on hours from when you start, but literal days, and we were told this when we bought them;
- the RhoneExpress option is for round-trip and is separate from the number of days your City Card is active. We only went one-way so we lost 1 euro each on buying that option. So, buy it before your Lyon trip or at the airport when you arrive - you'll save 9 to 11 euro.
- Some museums may only be presented in French. So the museum might be free, but there's no discounts on audio tours in your language.
- The hop-on/hop-off bus you'll see around the city is discounted, not free. We didn't want to spend more on what essentially we saw by metro and walking.
- The boat tour was good, but you cannot book days in advance with the City Card. You may only book the same day.
- Activating the card for Metro: we spent minutes trying to figure it out when all we had to do was put the card on the holder at the ticket machine and then confirm that the card was activated. Do not put the card into the credit card slot, and do not try to select the days, hours or trips like we tried. It's much more simple than we made it!
- The public bike rentals Velo'v was a discounted rate, but I forgot how much.

Overall, the value was great for the 4 days especially using the metro as much as we did. Additional value comes with using it for all the free and discounted things.

A great way to see Lyon and to get around Lyon.

We were very happy with the Lyon City Card. It is especially worth it for transportation because it allows you to use all the various modes of transportation without worrying about getting tickets. And if you are a museum goer the same - to be able to get into the museums. We got a lot out of our cards in 4 days. I would buy them again and highly recommend them.

The lady who sold us the cards was very helpful and helped us figure out timings for tours and other attractions that we were interested in. We used the cards to visit museums and also on the tram and metro.

I bought the three day Lyon City Card. For 45 euro I went to five museums, got a guided tour of the old city, and took at least 15 separate rides on the metro or tram - including two round trips to the stadium. The card easily paid for itself, and it was especially nice not to have to go to the ticket machine every time I wanted to ride the metro.

The Lyon City card allowed us to save a substantial amount of money while seeing most of Lyon's attractions and especially to use Metro, trams and buses to explore the city.

We enjoyed our passes! We loved having access to public transportation. We purchased a one day and were able to visit a few attractions that made the cost very worthwhile.

My husband and I did not save a lot of money while using the Lyon City Card, but it sure made our lives easier. I recommend getting them and taking full use of the benefits.

I loved having the Lyon City Card; we visited multiple museums, took a boat tour, and participated on the Fourvière rooftop tour. It paid for itself easily. Friends also used it to access transportation around the city. I was able to get to know the city and its history better because of this card. *note: for tours, you have to show up early to make sure you can get on!

The card simplified transport into and around Lyon. The two included tours were a great introduction to the historic area. Without the card I would not have gone to many of the small museums, which weren't high quality but which enriched our experience. I especially appreciated the personal assistance we received multiple times at the visitors center at Bellecour Plaza.

The Lyon card includes all the top sights in Lyon and easy explanations how to get to each sight. Best way not to miss any sight in Lyon.

I bought 1 3 day city card for a weekend in Lyon and found it a really good buy. No need to worry about transport, just hop on and present your card. The walking tour down he Croix-Rousse was brilliant as was the river cruise down the Saone. I also really enjoyed the three museums I went to. There was so much more I could ave done and will definitely be buying the Lyon card again next time I visit.

The Airport shuttle, public transport, entrance to the museums, discount in aquarium, city boat... there was no problem at all. There is also a great service at the Info on the Airport where a very kind lady explains the usage ang give you an pocket guide incl. a city map. A very smart card.

This card gives you not only discounts, but also an overview of all main sites in the town.
Without it, you would definitely missed some nice places and/or tours.
But you have to plan good, if you want to visit all the places that it covers, so at least prioritize your routes...
Also, it very convinient that you can buy transport from airport with it, that way you don't need to think about any tickets etc, which also saves you time...
I would say it is a must to have for short visits 1-4 days, for those who want to explore the city.
If I come again, I would probably bought another one, to visit remaining places/museums :).

We enjoyed having this Lyon City Card since it made using public transportation and visiting tourist sights very easy.

This is an excellent purchase. It combines access to all of the museums of Lyon along with public transit. It makes a visit to Lyon incredibly convenient.

It is for me really difficult to understand the reason why the site of sale of Lyon City card does not put a notice relevant and visible so that all people who access the site or who are interested in buying this card are not warned that any museum and almost no attraction in Lyon are closed on Mondays and the major part of them also closed on Tuesdays.
So, what happened to me and my family that we bought 5 passes of 2 days and spent a total of € 153.70 and certainly that will happen to other visitors is that the money was spent without any benefit to us not being able to enjoy nothing of the culture of Lyon on mondays.
Lyon does not deserve to be treated with this kind of lack of proper information to the tourist people.
Visitors to Lyon deserve a closer look when they are buying those cards through internet.

The city card pass was very useful especially for public transportation. Would recommend if you like exploring a city using public transportation.

The tourism staff were helpful and the benefits of the card made it cost-effective to purchase.

Neither website nor Tourism Office mentioned that almost every museum was closed for a bank holiday on the day we bought our card. We still used it for a boat and city tour but we felt taken advantage of.

It was great to have a one card system to access Lyon museums, transit, a great boat tour and a guide led two hour tour. Very good value for the money and so easy to use. The TI was also great about getting us set up, helping us understand how this works and booking us for the guided tour.

With the Lyon City Ticket you can easily explore the whole city by bus, by metro or by tramway. The ticket also includes several free entries to museums, a ship tour on the Rhône and a guided tour through Lyon.

I bought a 3 days pass, it's nice deal especially if you plan to visit more museums as possible. And when I was in Confluence Museum it's a long queue for ticket, but with city card I got quick pass, nice experience!

It has broad activities and really cost effective for a few days or longer trips.

It was okay. i liked that they partnered with stuff, so I could go into some museums for free. the staff were nice, and helped me when i was having issues with the card arriving on time. i only had one instance where a metro didn't want to scan it. i recommend it i suppose, especially if you're gonna go to a lot of places it partners with.

It will save you money for sure if you want to move around the city with public transportation. Also, if you want to take advantage of the multiple activities and museums that are included. We bought the card for three days and you can take the bus, the metro and the funicular as many times as you want. We used it a lot. Also, we did the cruise by the river (very nice!), we did the free tour (also very good) and the rooftop tour in the basilica, although this was in French, but is was totally worth it. We also went to the Confluence museum (interesting) and the Cinema and Miniature Museum (amazing!).
So yes, it was worth it. And Lyon is a beautiful place to visit.

We used the card on the metro, at the museum, to take the funicular and go to the Roman ruon site and museum. It was simple to use and a great value doe us.

I mosted liked the guided tour in vieux Lyon and the boat trip. Besides that having free public transport and all museums included makes the Card very valuable and convenient in usage.

These cards were really great all round. Easy to order online. Very helpful staff at the collection point, where you get a quick explanation and a physical map. Covers pretty much unlimited public transport including the Vaporetto river bus and funicular railway. Great value, with free entry to most sights and a guided tour.

I am visiting Lyon for the first time and I am staying for a number of weeks for a work project. On my first weekend I wanted to be a good tourist and get a thorough introduction to the city, so I purchased the City Card. I used it quite a lot on the transit system, went on a boat tour, a walking tour and to various museums. You can probably save a few euros with the card, but more important, it will encourage you to see things that you might otherwise not visit. With the card, you can go in a museum for a short time and not worry about if it is worth the cost. The map and attraction list provided is excellent and it was accepted happily everywhere I used it. I would recommend it to anyone as a good intro to the city of Lyon!

Go straight to the tourist office & get a tourist card. Free bus, tram, boat & furnicular rides, walking tour included in price as are all museums.

We used the Lyon City Card for everything....it was fantastic and so convenient.

The audio walking tours need a map as with this it was very hard to follow where to go next. We gave up half way through our tour of Croix Rousse because of this. This was unfortunate as the actual audio commentary was well put together and informative. I told the staff at the tourist office of this problem.

We made good use of the 4 day card visiting museums and using public transport. With a bit more planning on our part we could have got even more value from it. We would definitely recommend it to anyone.
My only negative thought, why is it only available for a maximum of 4 days?

The CityCard worked great for me, easy to collect, easy to use. I appreciated it making public transport simple, and the museums too. I used a boat trip and walking tour which were fun and I might have missed out without the CityCard.

Made visiting Lyon very convenient and easy. The Metro system is excellent and the card makes it a preferred choice for travel. The museums are easily reached by public transit and quite interesting.

This is a great way to see the highlights of Lyon. Of course there is never enough time to do as much as one wants, but having the Lyon City card makes it possible to visit many places if only for a short time

We so enjoyed our visit to Lyon. The card enabled us to travel around easily and even use the funicular. We took

I decided to collect my 4 day Lyon card with inclusive Rhone Express airport return ticket to Lyon at 'The Welcome Desk between Terminal 1 and 2'. On arrival from Terminal 1 there is no clear indication where this desk is. You must go up to the first floor and walk approx 250 meters towards the station where the desk is located on right hand side . Apart from this the staff were exceptionally helpful at the desk and the card itself is exceptional value when the return airport (Rhone Express) is included

The City Card has been well thought through and represents good value if you are keen to experience Lyon. The idea of including both a Walking Tour of the old town and Boat Cruise on the Saone was an excellent way to orientate to the city. So is including public transport. We had a 2 day pass and used it on both Trams and Buses to access the many attractions included in the Pass. Well done Lyon, Smart Tourism!

We had excellent two days in Lyon with Lyon Card. We purchased cards online (discounted price) and went to pick them up in Lyon Turist office. lady at office was very nice and gave us many helpful tips (for example bus #S6). In 48 hours we visited four museums, used metro,buses, trams and vaporettos. We also took the river cruise. This card is really worth to purchase. We would have taken 3-day cards, but May 1st there is no public transportation and places were closed in Lyon.

Glad we bought one just because we did not have to worry about dealing with travelling round the city and accessing the museums - all included automatically.

Great value.

The card was great and gave us the chance to explore lesser known museums we wouldn't have otherwise. It covered the most known museums as well as some other attractions. The cruise was also an amazing experience.
However, not all places had a Lyon card sign, which led us to miss some discounts. Also, at some places there was no English spoken or written, which meant that we had to go through the exhibition without actually understanding what we were seeing.
Lastly, the emails I received from the card were again not in English and only by great effort did I understand what they meant. Since this is a card aiming at tourists (who obviously do not know French) it should make the necessary accommodations at least for itself, if not for the attractions it covers.

Highly recommend the Lyon City Card. It covers public transport, free entrance to top sights, one free guided tour, and is very practical and easy to use. They really had the visitor in mind when creating this card. Bravo!

I bought a 4-day City Card for my stay in Lyon and even though I may not have used it to it's full potential, it was still a great value to me, just for the fact that it eliminated having to worry about buying tickets for public transit, buses, metro, etc., You just swipe the card at the turnstiles or on the bus like a local. Also, you can opt to buy travel on Rhone Express to and from the airport, which is half price (It is a little hard to tell from the website, but it IS round trip). If you order online like I did, your City Card is waiting for you at the Information office of your choice when you arrive in Lyon. It was very handy and I quite worth having. I recommend it!

Lyon is the most beautiful and interesting city. The welcome desk at the airport needs to be signposted or at least have a detailed map on your website. The lady who received us there was rude. Other staff in Lyon were helpful. The city pass needs to have the same hours of transport available-we needed to buy a 4 day card for a 3 day stay. We arrived late in the afternoon so too late for the museums etc but needed transport.

The card was an absolute godsend! As well as free entry into over 20 museums, the flexibility of being able to jump on and off all the various public transport arms (bus, tram, metro, funicular) made it so brilliant. We didn't have to mess about buying individual tickets for our 4 day stay, we just tapped in wherever we were going. The fold-out map that came with the card was also a great help for our stay in Lyon to guide us to and around places of interest. The free i hour cruise on the Saone, with an excellent bilingual commentary, was one of the many highlights.

The Lyon card is excellent in adding the return airport travel, city transport, boat tours, guided walking tours and every museum. You can't see everything, but it is everything that you could ever want in a visit to Lyon. The Lyon Touist Information staff were also very helpful. The Lyon Card was the best purchase I made!

One thing to improve is 「redeem location」，in the email, it notes that we can pick up our city cards at T1 and T2 welcome place at airport. However, when we arrived T1 information center, they told us only T2 can redeem the card, but it take 10 mins by walk...

I am so glad I reserved the Lyon City Card for the three days that I was in Lyon. It was so convenient to have free access to the public transpiration, and since most museums were free or reduced fee with the card I was able to see so many cool things in Lyon that I wouldn't have otherwise seen! It definitely helped me make the most out of my time in the city.

With the Lyon city card I got to enjoy many places of the city with easy transportation, and I felt welcomed everywhere! I got the 4 day card and went to a number of attractions, but there were still a few I didn't have enough time to go to, I would just kindly suggest that you extend the city card into 5-7 days for visitors staying a longer period of time.

We found the card very useful and used it extensively during our short stay in Lyon. For some reason the card would not always register on a bus/tram but this did not appear to be an issue and stop us from travelling.

The Lyon City card website does not make it obvious that the vast majority of museums etc. are closed on Mondays - hence the pass is not worthwhile if your stay includes a Monday.

For only €29,00 we use the green bus , the red tram, did go to the museums and have had a tour with a guide throughout the city.

I purchased a Lyon City Card for my recent visit to Lyon. There was so much to see and do in Lyon, and this card helped me to prioritize what I wanted to give my attention to. I took advantage of the Hop On Hop Off Bus and the Tram Tour. Both of these activities more that paid for the card. I also took advantage of a walking tour through Old Town, as well as visiting many museums. The river taxi to Confluence is also included. During my four days in Lyon, I stayed busy visiting and touring the city. I would highly recommend the Lyon City Card.

Purchased the combo Rhone Express + 2-day City Card in December for myself and a visitor. Outstanding value because for a couple of reasons. 1. Cheapest Rhone Express ticket you could purchase. 2. During the winter the city card includes 1 day of the Lyon City bus. The card paid for itself on our first day. We got to visit sites I would not have considered but enjoyed (Mini World). Definitely investigate if you are considering a visit to Lyon. Really great value.

I bought 1day card by €25, and visited three museums by subway. Then, it could be profitable.

I ordered my Lyon card over the internet and picked it up at Place Bellecour. Rachel gave great advice and brochures about what we could do with the Lyon card. it was great to just show or scan the card for activities. There was no searching for money, I just showed the card and was admitted to the activity. I used the card for the metro with no problem. I was able to do the Lyon city bus tour, ride the tram, visit two museums, and use public transportation in a two day period. the Lyon card is fantastic way to see the city. I would buy the card again if I visited Lyon which is a beautiful city.

Very useful for first trip to Lyon as was able to see lots of museums and city with travel included. Works on a 24 hour basis for one day. Standard ticket does not include airport express. I would use this again.

Lyon is an amazing city and there is so much to see and do. The Lyon Tourist office are extremely helpful and provides all the information you need to make your visit worthwhile. I bought a 3 day City Card which is great value for money and with it I travelled all around Lyon, visited several museums and went on this guided tour of the Croix-Rousse and La Maison des Canuts. This was very enjoyable and informative guided tour, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. The visit to La Maison des Canuts included a demonstration of silk weaving on an original loom which is fascinating and ended with us descending via the Traboules. I would really recommend this guided tour. It should be noted that it does include descending via quite a number of stairs, so would not be accessible for everyone.

The card provides many free access within the town however please ensure your travel is not fall into weekend as most of the museums are not opened.

The card offered us great experience to discover Lyon.

Plus points:
Many venues (the most important) and events covered in the card are free of charge. Obviously, the more you see and do, the more the card justifies its cost.
Very important - card allows you to jump long queues in many places. This alone almost makes it worth it, especially on weekends and school holiday periods which can be very busy.
We didn't use public transport, so cannot comment. But bus and underground transport appears to be free. Surely a good deal.

Minus point: If you are collecting the card at one of their collection points it can be a bit complicated. First, to get there, Second, your name is not enough. They will want the confirmation email with QR code which will mean connecting to internet. Best to save on phone or print it.
Better, of course, to book cards far enough ahead of time to get them by post, if possible.

The fascinating city of Lyon has so much to see and places to visit not all of which are within easy walking distance of each other, and whilst both transport charges and entry fees are modest the cost quickly mounts, as does the need for currency.
Fortunately Lyon has two great additional assets, firstly a truly excellent transport system, be it the Metro, the trams or buses. The second is the Lyon City Card which is available to use on all of those forms of transport and for entry into most of the museums and galleries. The card really does add to the visitor experience, allowing the visitor to move around the city at will and to take in museums that they might not otherwise visit.
The Lyon City Card is a bargain unless of course you just want to sit in the hotel or a bar all day.

Entry was not only free up many places, but you got in faster than the people Rut hour the card. Free transit use was also easy to use

Ideal way of exploring Lyon.

The ease of use and reliable transport infrastructure with the Citymapper App meant that it was easy to find our way around. The Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourviere is worth a visit for the views alone! We went to the Museum of film & miniature, the museum of fine arts and the wonderful architecture were to be admired. Thank you for the hospitality can recommend for a great city break!

Take the boat trip down to the funky Confluence district where the rivers Saone and Rhone meet passing the amazing modern architecture culminating in the Museum de Confluence spaceship building.

Lyon City Card was a great purchase. It was fantastic to be able to hop on and off all transport throughout the four days. This allowed us to see and do as much as possible. The free entry into certain attractions along with certain discounts meant we made the very most of our stay, discovering so much to do in your beautiful city.

I did not fully utilise my Lyon Card as our plans changed but would definitely recommend it for convenience of payment for transport and for entry to various places - as well as for the discounts. When I return to Lyon, I will buy the Lyon Card again.

Lyon city card online is very good value , it gives a tourist choices and simple travel and encourages one to se many galleries and museums. It would be even better if the velo was included at no extra cost!

Bought the card at the airport upon arrival in Lyon. It made things really straightforward not having to think about public transport costs, and it also included the sightseeing cruise which was brilliant, plus admission to all the museums we wanted to go to.

The discount is valuable and offers lots of advantages. However, no digital ticket provided and the lost card cannot be replaced. I lost my 2-day card after just using for one attraction and one activity. Go paperless like London pass would be a good idea in this digital era.

After we were robbed of our belongings, the lyon card showed us a better sight of lyon.
Travelling by tram, metro and bus. Taking boat rips across the saone with bateaux lyonnais and vaporetto.
And visiting several musea. Although many thing were closed on sunday and monday.

Lyon is a city with different old and new places.
It lives round two rivers, this situation is special and with its historical past, all is very interesting.
The closing of the establishments is very early but it was not a problem because we got used to it fast.

It was very useful. I had free access in many museums and free transport all over the town.

We bought the 4-day card for its offered services, especially Velo'v, but on day 2 experienced trouble using it on day 2 for Velo'v, and had to make a separate trip to the office. There we were told that Velo'v is currently unavailable due to a systems change. We bought a 4-day pass so we could use the metro on our last morning, but it did not work then, so we had to buy metro tickets for a couple of trips the last morning. Otherwise, the card worked fine at museums.

I visited 6 museums in 1 day with this card and took metro as well as the tram. Definitely save me a lot of money. It’s easy to use and comes with a map showing all the museums that you can enter free. Staff at the tourist center are helpful, would recommand this card to everyone.

We found the card very useful, especially the public transport included. We recommend the walking tour of Old Lyon. Hafid at the information centre was very friendly and helpful.
Our suggestions for improvements would be to be able to claim back the cost of the train journey we first had to make to get into the city to buy the card. Also it would be great if the period that the public transport was valid was the same as the museum entries - i.e. based on a 24hour period rather than a calendar day.

We had nearly no time to prepare for our visit to Lyon, so the city card and especially the advices given at the counter were very helpful for us. So we took the city card for two days and were able to act on our own the following two days.

I recommend it, it allows to discover a lot of the city, museums and sightseeing.

We bought the 4 day card which included the airport transfer ( Rhone express). The card included the use of all types of public transport plus free entries into many attractions. Very much value for money. My only disappointment was the Fourviere rooftop guided tour as we were told that this is only done in French. We still went but unfortunately, not being fluent in the language, did not understand much. And even though the tour guide spoke English, she did not try to explain anything to us in the 1 and a half hours we were with her. It is a lovely attraction and I think that foreigners not speaking French would be interested in taking the tour if in a language they can understand.

We were able to explore much more of the city. Access to museums and especially the transit system. I would buy it again the next time we go to Lyon.

A great way to get around Lyon and lots of discounts to take advantage of, definitely recommend buying one.

The Lyon City Card helps to make things convenient, but I'm not sure it is worth the cost. To get your money's worth you really need to see and do many things. My biggest dissatisfaction was that 2 of the most important activities that are listed in the Lyon City Card promotion are NOT possible. The City of Lyon needs to remove from the promotion of the card that it can be used for the "Notre Dame Roof tour" and the "City Boat tour." We tried to go to both of these very early and they were full. They are always full because paying customers always have priority. Then, there are no City Card spots left. Therefore, it completely wastes your holiday time while you wait for 1 hour for the event. Then, only at the last minute you are told that they have no room. There is no way to reserve a spot on line or in person. You only wait to see if the tour is full and it always it. We went at the end of September so it was not even peak travel season.
The solution is simple... They need to stop promoting that the City Card gets you access to the Roof top tour and the City Boat tours.

When we arrived in Lyon we didn't have many plans other then to wander around the city. After recieving a map from the hotel I noticed many attractions had Lyon City Pass next to them. After an incredibly helpful visit with Rachael from the tourism office, we had a solid 2 day plan to see and experience many of the sights of Lyon. The pass more then paid for itself with unlimited access to museums, a guided tour, a guided bus tour, a guided tram tour, and transit access. The next time we are in Lyon I will 100% purchase the pass to use again.

The Lyon Card is an excellent way to explore this beautiful city from its Roman ruins and the medieval streets of the old city to its ultra modern Museum of the Confluence. Lyon is a city that offers a broad range of experiences that should satisfy the most demanding or most jaded of travelers. The transport system enables the visiter to discover the city by bus, metro trains, trams and funicular and everything is in easy reach. The concerts on offer by Opera Lyon are amazing as is the cities varied cuisine. Two days were only enough to whet my appetite and I'll return soon.

Found the card great value. A couple of comments, why is it not sold at T1 at Lyon Airport? And we would have appreciated the travel running the same 72 hours as the attractions. It would have been useful to be able to book the boat trips at the Tourist Office. Basilica rooftop tour was amazing - could you describe this better? Really enjoyed walking tour with Catherine, her knowledge and English were excellent. Finally, we enjoyed a lot of good meals in Lyon, could you not get some restaurants on board with discounts?

We bought the Lyon 4 day pass, which enabled us not only to visit the museums we were interested in, but also to take a walking tour, take the little tram, and to go on a boat ride. Staying in the Confluence area meant we used public transport, which was included, and also the little Vaporetto boat which was extremely useful, as well as being a delightful way to get from one end of the city to the other. The walking tour of the old town took us through the traboules, which we would simply not have found without our guide. The little tram which was included took us up to the croix rousse district, which we would not have had the energy, or knowledge, to explore as it is up such steep hills. The boat ride took us out of the city around the ile de barbe and showed us yet another part of Lyon. We visited the fabulous architecture of the confluence museum and the resistance museum, all included in the pass. After four days, we felt as if we had a real feeling for the city and the ease with which we could get around. This pass was a recommendation from some friends we met who were also traveling, and it has certainly saved us money, as well as providing an easy way to get around. The inclusions far outstrip the number of things you can do in the time, meaning that there is plenty of choice for everyone to pick their own interests. I would definitely recommend the City Pass to any other first (and second) time visitors interesting in seeing as much as possible.

We bought the Lyon 4 day pass, which enabled us not only to visit the museums we were interested in, but also to take a walking tour, take the little tram, and to go on a boat ride. Staying in the Confluence area meant we used public transport, which was included, and also the little Vaporetto boat which was extremely useful, as well as being a delightful way to get from one end of the city to the other. The walking tour of the old town took us through the traboules, which we would simply not have found without our guide. The little tram which was included took us up to the croix rousse district, which we would not have had the energy, or knowledge, to explore as it is up such steep hills. The boat ride took us out of the city around the ile de barbe and showed us yet another part of Lyon. We always make a list of all the things we want to do in a city and then check out the city cards to see if it makes sense to buy one. The Lyon card was a tremendous purchase for us. It included everything we wanted to see and encouraged us to drop into a few things, like the excellent Miniature Museum, that we may not have considered otherwise. Having access to the metro was a welcome bonus.

We found this card very handy, for museum entrance and boat fares, and feel it saved us money.

The card gets you to see all you might need for a tourist weekend and a discount at hardrock café which I forgot to use. It is worth getting, while at it also get information/advise from the tourist/visitors centre, it was a big save!!

The card covered most of the items we wanted to see. A big disavantage is that there is no app for the card.

From our first visit to the Visitor Information Centre to the last few steps onto the Eurostar on the way home, we found LYON to be just about THE happiest, friendliest and easy to "use" City you could wish for. The LYON CARD makes everything SO easy and the value for money is excellent. The lovely Rachel in the Visitor Centre explained how to use it and how to get the best out of it. You will not be sorry if you invest in one for your stay in this brilliant City!!

I had a 3-day Lyon City Card and it was well worth it. Unlimited public transport and free access to the museums were great. With a pass you don't mind popping into a museum just to see the highlights and then moving on to another, or hopping onto a bus or tram for a stop or two. The Lyon City Tram through Vieux Lyon and the boat ride were wonderful, and without the City Card I might not have gone on them. I also got the Rhone Express tickets at a reduced price, which made things easier. The biggest difficulty was actually finding the Welcome Desk at the airport to pick it all up. The location could be better described and signed. In any case, I can highly recommend the City Card!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the old city visiting many key sites. Anne, our guide, kept us in tow and even pointed out an area where pick-pockets operate and for us to be vigilant. She was very knowledgeable and humorous. A very good return on our investment in the LyonCard.

We bought a 2-day Lyon City card and were able to use it for nearly every museum we wanted to visit. It was well worth
the cost and we would highly recommend it to visitors to Lyon.

The card made it really easy to get about without worrying about hopping on and off the excellent public transport. The ability to sample all the excellent museums was also a great benefit. We had 3 day cards, which made for a great visit. A small warning, though: my wife had her card stolen from her hand while queuing for a bus - be very careful!

The Lyon City Card is a must! We found it easy to use, recognized immediately by museums, and vendors alike. We took full advantage of the Lyon transportation, using the funicular, metro, and water ferry. I would recommend it to everyone! It made exploring Lyon, a new city to us, more exciting, and now Lyon is one of our favorite cities in France! We even joked about how easy it was, saying, "Tap et Go!"

This was a last minute break so we hadn't looked a lot at what there was to do or see before we arrived so the 1st thing we did was head to the tourist office. The lady there was so helpful booking our Lyon City Cards, a walking tour for the next afternoon and marking the starting points for the different tours on the map for us. She seemed really enthusiastic about her city & recommended us on her favourite things to see. The Lyon City Card was so handy for getting around on the metro, the funicular up to La Fourviere, the tram up around La Croix Rousse & boat tour to the confluence. It allowed us to see the city from all angles and see as much as possible in a couple of days & there was so much to see from Roman remains, architecture from then up to the present, amazing giant murals & the secret traboules.

The Lyon City Card is an excellent deal. Not only did it save me money, but it encouraged me to see more museums than I had planned, and they were all fascinating. I wish I had gotten the card for all three days of my stay, and I hope it’s still available the next time I come to Lyon. It is a lovely city with great food, interesting cultural institutions, and fascinating little shops. Elegant but unpretentious and really beautiful.

The City Card is the best way to see Lyon. It gives choice and is very cost effective.

Saves you money and encourages you to visit more than you might but ... unlike some city's cards it doesn't allow you to skip the queue ... which can be really long at the Roman Museum. So it's good but be warned!

We had a wonderful time in Lyon. The Lyon ticket is amazing and we had a great time. It is a fantastic deal, there are so many places to see and visit. The people of Lyon were kind and helpful.

Visit ti Tourist Information Bellecour was excellent. Real professional approach to providing information. Purchase of Lyoncard recommended and purchased. Visited mant museums and attractions and the lyoncard made it so easy to use transport. This card ois a great idea and a credit to the city.

The City card was useful to us in facilitating the 1 full day we had to tour rather than the hop on/off bus. A 2 day pass, had we the time would have been perfect as we could have accommodated another tour & explored using the public transportation.

We bought 4 cards for 2 days. I planned the night before what we wanted to do and the route. We saved a lot of money with the card. Really easy to use.

The most challenging moment was to find the tourist information desk at the airport. Arriving at Terminal 1B you need to go to Terminal 1 to find the pick up point.
Then everything went smoothly. We used the cards to travel with public transport, to enter museums and attend a nice boat trip. Using Lyon City Card you can save time and money. I can recommend it!

A very practical card and excellent value for money. I really needed a card for six days though.

Our walking tour was fascinating, showing us places we would otherwise never have seen. Our guide, Claude, was excellent; she gave a very clear and comprehensive commentary, while taking us around some quite obscure parts of the old city.
We bought a two-day Lyon City Pass. It not only included the guided visit, but also a river trip, plus unlimited travel on all the transport facilities and access to several museums and attractions. Truly excellent value for money!

I bought City Card online for 3 days paying for it about 41 euros. For these 3 days I was able to visit the sights, museums and use public transport for about 85 euros. Thus, City Card allowed me to cut my expenses in half. Its very convenient and easy to use. I definitely recommend it to everyone who wants to get to know the city better, plans to visit museums, travel a lot on transport.

We did not break even on the purchase of the card because we stayed on Presqu'île and walked everywhere (used public transportation only once), spending more time afoot exploring the city than in museums (averaged less than a museum a day over our week stay in Lyon). For those who take the tours, use public transportation, and go to two or more museums per day (especially heading to the more dispersed museums practically accessible only by public transportation), this card can be a great deal. For those who do more on their own on foot the card might not pay for itself (but it is still very convenient). Also, be aware of the fine print--the card is good for only one admission per museum, so for major museums (e.g., Musée des Beaux-Arts, Musée des Confluences) be sure to schedule arrival in time to cover the entire museum in one visit in one day before closing time.

We purchased our 3 day cards online and picked them up from the Tourist Bureau in Lyon to save 4 Euros per card.

The Lyon City Card was totally worth it: easy to use and great benefits.

My one critique is to make sure all policies/offers for the card are consistent across all platforms. For example, the booklet for the card advertised the City Bus as discounted, but the driver's manual said it was free with the Lyon City Card. Also, we couldn't find the tram or the tram stop, and it was unclear if it was included with the card.

Other than that, we thought the card was definitely worth it!

What a beautiful city, wish we had more than three days to spend here. We feel like we received a lot of value from the card. Thank you!

Ten days Short journey at Paris, Warsaw and Lyon. The best one was Lyon. Lyon city card was valuable and easy to use more than Patrice passlib. If your accommodation at town cinter you may use transportation for one day only. Don't miss to visit planeterium and mini world. We will never forget this journey and wish to come back.

This card gave us great freedom, both to see a variety of places and to get around very easily. We could go to a museum which seemed interesting, and if it was not so, we could move on to another one. Our favorite activity using the card was probably the boat cruise on the Saone River.

The guide was knowledgeable and professional. We can understand her English. It was very enjoyable. Good deal especially coupled with the Lyon City card.

Boat ride and Musee de Beaux Arts make it worth it!

I'm sure anyone would find this useful - I had a 4 day card for a 5 day visit (a 5 day card would be nice!) and it gave me 96 hours of entry to museums, a boat ride and a tram ride up Croix Rousse. It would have given me other things such as guided tours too, but I didn't have enough time on this visit. It also gives 4 calendar days from first use of transport on the Metro, buses, trams and funiculars all of which I used.
I would highly recommend the card and will be buying one next time I visit Lyon.

We bought the 4-day Lyon City Card. We used it to enjoy guided walking tour of Vieux-Lyon, Lyon City Boat ride, and City Tram to Croix-Rousse. These activities gave us an insight to Lyon. We also utilized it to visit several museums. I think all tourists exploring Lyon on their own should get one.

This card made it very easy to use all the transport available in the city. Excellent city to explore with easy access to public transport and so much to see and do.

IF you really want to see the most of what Lyon has to offer, this card is value for money. You get unlimited access to public transports, guided tour to the old city, tour with tram to the neighborhood called Red cross ( Croix Rouge ), a guided tour with the boat and of course free access to all the museums, to some of them you have priority access too. We bought one card each for three days. Each card costed 45 euros but we visited 8 museums, did the guided tour, the boat tour and the tram tour and of course we got the bus, metro, tram many times. We had a complete experience which, otherwise and without the city card woyld cost a lot more money. I highly recommend thiw card for everyone who really is in the mood to explore this city.

The card is value for money We could see all the attractions we wanted, and not worry abt buying transport tickets as it includes transport pass as well. We would have spent more than $70 euros on transport and tickets per person but it only costs us 40 plus euros for a card. I heartily recommend it.

Using the Lyon City Card made it easy to get around the beautiful City of Lyon so easy. It gave access to all the public transport systems so that we could see the city from different perspectives. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Lyon to purchase a City card as it both inexpensive and easy to use.

I purchased the 2 day Lyon card that included a return journey on the Rhone Express airport link. As I planned to visit many museums during my two day visit I was able to save money, especially as it included a return journey on the Rhone Express airport link. I also enjoyed using the card for one free river cruise and a trip on the mini tram. I do not think I would have done these attractions in they were not included in the card but I enjoyed both experiences.

I would recommend the card, we mainly used the tram ride, canal tour and one of the included tours. We got the two day pass and walked everywhere so we didn't use the public transportation. You can't really get to everything included but it includes a lot of the museums. We had such great weather we took advantage of being outside and walking everywhere.

The card is great, not to expensive especially when bought online which you can do the day before. Going to only a couple of the free activities pays off the card. Well worth it.

From the new and excellent website, to the friendly and efficient tourist office and the excellent Go Lyon card everything is a good as you would hope and need. In a way knowing you can have ‘free’ entrance to so many museums and other excursions spurs you on to visit more perhaps than if you paid as you went. I have to say Lyon is as well organised for the tourist as any city I have seen, and I have visited 27 cities in Europe in the last year alone!

I bought 3 days Rhone Express included card and easily reached to city center and came back to the airport. If you like discovering every point of city and joining lots of the activities, it provides money and time saving because of including Rhone Express ticket, unlimited city transportation, free entrance to lots of museum and other activities such as cruise.

Lyon card is with it with all the main attractions covered at a great price. Most things are included so its easy to use. I'd get one again

The City Card was a great investment. Not only did it provide access to a whole host of activities, but the inclusion of public transport itself was well worth the expense!

Public transportation, main attractions access in one card. We worried less about transit tickets and took a river cruise, visited great museums and rode the metro to old town.

Well worth buying, we ordered online before going to Lyon and collected them at place bellecour tourism centre. Apart from saving money, given that you use it enough, one of the main advantages in our opinion is not having to buy a ticket and having the correct change during your stay. It just makes life easier

It was extremely disappointing! 4 things that I wanted to do, and that's why I bought the pass, were closed. It didn't say on the website!!! It was a waste of money!!! Regretted so much!!!

We joined Delphine on a tour of Old Lyon in early May and thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Her commentary was very interesting and informative; we had already spend a couple of days in Old Lyon and thought we had read and learned quite a bit. But her commentary was insightful and full of new information, from how church buildings are maintained and paid for in France today, how historic restorations have changed over the years, and more. We very much recommend such tours from the Tourist information office. in Lyon. We also stopped at the office a couple of times for information, and each time the service was quick, professional and very helpful. Also, we had a 4 day Lyon City card, which we used for several museums, this tour, a boat tour and for transportation. It was invaluable.

The Lyon City card is great for transport, but the service of the staff gets worse. I had a better experience in 2016 when I first visited Lyon.

Add up museum admissions, many metro rides, and a great City Boat tour. The included free Vieux Lyon walking tour was wonderful! We ordered our City cards ahead of time and received them at our home in the United States. Like I hoped, the Card worked immediately as a metro pass. Don't miss the Gallo-Roman ruins and museum. Funicular and bus rides are free, too, with the City card.

The Lyon Card is excellent value. We used it for entry to a number of museums and the bus and tram tours.

It's very useful but to get the most out of it you should get up early and plan your day out so that you make it to a few attractions. Don't get it just for public transport as that is already very cheap.

We were not pleased with this service as we were on a bus that broke down and then the next day we tried the tour again and there were only 2 buses and they were late coming to pick us up for the hop on hop off service tour. We waited 2 hours at one stop, then 1-1/2 at another, which ate up the day much too fast. We felt sorry for the drivers in their frustration with underperforming equipment, breaking buses, sign on systems not working. We felt their stress and anxiety in trying to please us while being given poor tools to do so. You should be able to buy a City Card for your full vacation, not just 3 days, as some things were closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and our card expired before we could take advantage of them. For the price it was very dissapointing. The concept is good. We loved the Train from the airport to town, and we loved the subways.

The Lyon City Card helped us to explore Lyon. We participated in a guided City tour, visitied some museums and used the public transport excessively.

We bought the 3 day Lyon Citycard and found it to be of great value. We visited several museums, used the buses, tram and metro many times and also took advantage of the great guided walk through Vieux Lyon and the included cruise on the Saône River. I would recommend this card to anyone who visits Lyon for at least 3 days.

My 3 days in Lyon were very enjoyable, thanks to the sssistance I received from the tourist office. I bought a Lyon City card from them online from Australia and it was posted to me. I also spoke via live chat to staff before I came and they were very helpful. The card is great value. There are too many museums to visit in 3 days but those I went to were excellent and were free through having the card. It is also so convenient for use on the metro and other public transport. My visit to the Tourism Office at Lyon was really helpful. I could make the best for just one day visit.

Buying a Lyon City card for our 4 day stay in the city was the best idea I have had in a long time. It allowed us to visit museums we would not usually bother to visit and discover little gems of knowledge. It allowed us to be flexible with our time and I would heartily recommend it to all.

A group of 5 ranging from 15 to 75 came to visit my daughter who is spending a year in Lyon. We found the card very useful for transport, using the tram, funicular, metro and bus. We enjoyed and would recommend the boat trip although ours was shortened due to the height of the river. We also visited several museums and felt that we really got our money’s worth.

Moving around in the city requires the easy usage of public mass transportation system. We, none French speaking tourist has always have the language difficulties at first and too much time in the que to buy a tickets. It has took away from my weekend trip. Thank you.

The Lyon City Card is very comfortable to use and we recommend it for all visitors staying the first time in Lyon.

The Lyon City Card is really great for touring the city of Lyon. However, it is sold as a 1 day, 2 day, or 3 day pass. The instructions with the card indicate that a 1 day pass is actually 24 hours, and is activated upon first use. In my experience, this is incorrect. Mine stopped working (at least for public transit) well before 24 hours. I purchased the card at approximately 11 am on a Saturday, and used it for the first time just before noon. I tried to use it in the morning before 9 am the next day on the bus and it didn't work (and the time changed overnight to the equivalent of daylight savings time for Americans, so it was actually at least 4 hours short of 24 hours from first use). I figured I would use it for the bus because the bus stops don't have the kiosks to purchase ride tickets like the tram and train stations do, and I didn't carry any cash as an American not wishing to have to exchange for Euros, and I wanted to get to a train station where I could purchase transport later. While this isn't a deal breaker, and it is still a very useful card, it is definitely not a positive experience to expect it to work 24 hours according to the instructions, but it doesn't. In other words, if you purchase a City Card, expect it to work only on the day you purchase it, so get going early in the morning to get the most out of it.

We bought the three day card with Rhone Express. What a deal! We loved the old Lyon tour with Jerome as our guide, and enjoyed the Lyon City Tram (lovely driver). The transit pass was excellent. A big bonus was not having to use the Rhone Express portion during the 3 days of the museum/transit pass. Lyon is a wonderful city to visit, and the pass made it easy to see the highlights.

Excellent for those that like to visit museums. Using this card is easy to visit the main spot of Lyon. There are a lot of option of transport. I recommend for sure.

We picked up our City Card from the tourist office, and the people working there were very welcoming and helpful. We were able to go on one of the walking tours as well, which usually isn't something we would do, but we found it a fantastic experience, with a knowledgeable and friendly guide. The City Card was a great value for admission to museums and extremely easy to use. It was also great to be able to use it for public transportation.

I would definitely recommend the lyon city card to other visitors. From the big museums to the more obscure its a great way of discovering the city. The museums and attractions alone would make the card worthwhile so having access to the public transport makes it great value.

I was in Lyon for three days but bought the card for a two-days visit, which I think was a good think to do because I got there around midday and I visited free spots during the first day. The other two days I woke up pretty early to use the metro, to take the tour included, the puppet show, and of course all the museums! My favorite was le Musée des Miniatures du Cinéma (it's a must!!). The card is the best way to visit the city! Also, visiting the office of tourism is a great way to organise your trip. Thank you! I hope I can be back someday.
